Legal marijuana in Vermont? It’s looking like Vermont is going to become the first state to legalize marijuana using its legislature, instead of through a vote by citizens. According to the Burlington Free Press, the Vermont House of Representatives voted on Wednesday to allow marijuana to be taxed and regulated. The bill was already approved by Vermont’s Senate. Vermont Governor Vetoes Recreational Marijuana

As we reported before, a lot of people were really hoping Vermont was going to become the first state to legalize marijuana through its legislature. Vermont’s House and Senate passed a bill that would allow residents over the age of 21 to use marijuana recreationally, but on Wednesday, Vermont Gov. Phil Scott (R) vetoed the bill.
